MAY UPDATE

PRODUCT ORIGINS AND SAFETY

Following recent national reporting and podcasts by
investigative journalist Kate McClymont across the Sydney Morning Herald, The
Age, Brisbane Times, and PerthNow, we’ve received enquiries about products in
the field that are like our designs, using the same names, and any associated
risks.

SAFETY

Unauthorised or modified products can’t be assumed to just meet
critical design specifications or comply with required standards, no matter
how similar they look.

The concern is, if products are not designed, built, and
tested by the original developers and authorized distributors:

   Protection functions may fail.

   Fault responses may not happen.

   Compliance, approvals, and certifications cannot be relied
upon.

   Using copied data sheets, reports or manuals may not be valid or
authorized.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED

Our former accountant was convicted and jailed for fraud and
document falsification.

During this period, Gardner Ekes acted as our legal advisors
in proceedings.

Bramco International was established at that time, on their
advice, to distribute our products. This distribution ended in March 2022.

Since then, products continue to appear in the market that
reproduce or copy our designs without our authority; these are not built,
tested, or supported by us.

 

PRODUCT ORIGINS

Over 40 years, we’ve introduced products including iC1, EL3,
ELF3, iC3, CPM, and ELLFC3 amongst others. These are shown on our website.

These names are now used on products not designed or supplied by
us.

m-Tronix is the sole authorised distributor and support
provider.

We’d ask customers to confirm the origin and compliance of any
system, including approvals, certification, and insurance.

And continue to supply these products, including updated and
backward-compatible versions. The images shown are examples of our designs.

 

 

SUPPORT

We’ve raised these matters, and we’re communicating with
mining regulators and authorities.

 

And we can help answer any questions you have, review the
safety of your installations, confirm what you have, assess how it’s been
built, and look at whether it will operate as intended.
